The Memory
Assessment Centre in Bradford was opened in 1989 as one of the first specialist
clinics in The UK. The clinic offered diagnos
tic and assessment services in response
to the growing demand for a specialist memory clinic. Over the last 20 years the
clinic has assessed over 4000 patients with memory disorders.
MAC Clinical Research now currently provides cognitive assessment services in 3 of its centres. The Memory Clinics are staffed by Consultants, Neuropsychologists, RGN/RMNs, Occupational
Therapists, Psychology Assistants and administrative staff. The clinics also support
PhD studentships. All staff have a background in the assessment and management of
Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders, and a multi-disciplinary assessment
model is employed.
MAC Clinical Research actively promotes Research into Alzheimer's Disease and other cognitive disorders.
